The Vallejo People’s Garden is a nonprofit organization focused on educating our community about environmental stewardship, agriculture, and sustainability through hands-on training.
Our garden serves as a place of inspiration, learning, healing, and empowering the next generation of community leaders, gardeners, and advocates for a more self-sufficient, vibrant Vallejo.
The Vallejo People’s Garden has grown support for the community in the following ways:
1. Provide access to fresh fruits and vegetables, helping to improve nutrition and reduce food deserts.
2. Foster social interaction and collaboration among community members strengthening community bonds.
3. Enhance local biodiversity, improved air quality, and urban greening efforts.
4. Serve as outdoor classrooms, where people of all ages can learn about gardening, ecology, and sustainable practices.
5. Reduce stress, improve mood, and promote overall well-being by providing a beautiful green space, enhancing the quality of life in an urban environment.
6. Increase property values in the area
7. Offer a safe space for cultural exchange and celebration of diverse agricultural practices and traditions.
